Notes - The Zanna vineyard was among the first ones to be planted on the Illuminati farm and it is trained in the "tendone" system (high trellis supported by crossed wires). It is among the last vineyards to be harvested. After a strong pruning and a meticulous selection of the grapes, the wine is produced and then aged in Slavonian oak barrels where it settles for about 24-25 months. The Zanna is an intense red ruby colour which tends to garnet red as it ages. The nose is reminiscent of blackberries, fruit and dried flowers. The palate is mellow, velvety and elegant with soft tannins. Try with red meats, game, truffle, mature cheese and blue cheese such as Gorgonzola.
