De Martino Legado Reserva Merlot

Notes - The Legado Reserva wines come from the family's own estate in the Maipo Valley. Produced from grapes carefully selected and hand-picked, these wines have good colour, individual personality, great structure, and are concentrated and fruity, expressively representative of each variety. 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the was aged in French and American oak barrels. It has a lively ruby red colour with a deliciously intense nose showing notes of ripe red fruit, cherries and a touch of chocolate. The ageing in oak barrels is evident, but without overpowering the divine fruity characteristics. Full-bodied with ripe, round and smooth tannins. The integration of the fruit and oak sets this wine up to be a masterpiece of taste and complexity. The finish is long and very pleasant. Serve between 18º-20ºC. Ideal with a wide variety of dishes, including white meats such as pork and turkey; stews, meat fondues, barbecued meats and beef dishes.
