Wine information:
The Latour family have long been established in the
Burgundy wine trade. They began as vinegrowers in the village of Aloxe-Corton as early as 1768 and went on to establish today's business,
Maison Louis Latour, in 1797. Today they are one of the region's most famous names creating wines from their own 50 hectare domaine in the Côte d'Or and from grapes and wines purchased through the negociant arm of the business. The Côte de Beaune-Villages appellation is applied exclusively to red wines from 16 communes in the Côte de Beaune including Saint-Aubin, Pernand-Vergelesses and Auxey-Duresses. Maison Louis Latour carefully selects the wines which are the most representative of the appellation: lots of character, intense aromatics, and of course, a long finish.
Tasting Notes:
Louis Latour Côte de Beaune Villages is the epitome of Pinot Noir, soft, light and fruity. The wine is supple and expresses aromas of cherry pips.
