Nepenthe Riesling

Notes - Nepenthe Riesling is made with an eye to the classic Australian dry style: hand-picked at relatively high sugar and acid levels, and even higher flavour. The acid levels ensure a fine tight structure that guarantees zest in the wine’s youth and excellent ageing potential; the sugar translates to alcohol which contributes viscosity and richness; and the flavour gives the wine its varietal signature: the distinctive floral, lime and lemons that are the essential Riesling fruit characters. Nepenthe's high, cool sites provide both the citrus and floral notes ofl ‘citrus blossom’. Fresh, fragrant and intense, the wine’s palate is entirely consistent with the nose, and the emphasis on balance, length and structure ensure that the wine finishes crisp and dry.
