Notes - The LBV 1996 shows a vivacious intense red color, almost opaque, typical of the Ramos-Pinto LBV. The aromas are full and intensely fruity with ripe fruit such as grape, fig and a touch of vanilla and anise. On the palate, it has a fresh velvety attack that is fruity and strong. The tannins are well structured and soft from ripe grapes. There is a presence of plum and mulberry with a slight touch of chocolate on a velvety finish. The freshness and good balance demonstrate that it will age well.
