Notes - The blackberry bush is a shrub belonging to the same family as the raspberry. Known by the Ancient Greeks and the Romans, the blackberry was not discovered in Europe until the 19th century. Picked when they are ripe, the fruit is black, fleshy, shiny, very juicy and a little sharp. The Briotter Crème de Mûre can be successfully served with white wines, crémants and champagnes.
