Wine information:
Domaine de la Grolette is located in the heart of the Borderies region, just 30 kms from the town of Cognac, and is owned and run by Jacques Ordonneau. The Domaine had been owned by the Ordonneau family since the beginning of the last century and their cellars contain Cognacs that have been aged for many years. Monsieur Jacques Ordonneau has carefully selected the finest Cognacs that have been aged between 20 and 30 years old to represent the Très Vieille Reserve des Borderies of the domaine. Borderies has a soil with high clay content with flint giving fatter, fuller-bodied brandies with dried fruit characteristics. The result is a full, floral brandy with prune and dried fruit notes and a touch of rancio.
