Pouilly Fumé

Wine information: Domaine Seguin is located 1 km to the east of Pouilly-sur-Loire. The estate covers 16 hectares exclusively in Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Pouilly Fumé. The Seguin family have been wine-growers for 6 generations. Pouilly Fumé wine is made exclusively from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. This "cru" has the typical "gun flint" flavour.

Tasting Notes: Hervé Seguin Pouilly Fumé is a powerful fruity Sauvignon nose is followed through with a zingy and intense fruit on the palate. It finishes crisply and firmly without sharpness.

Food & Wine match: Seguin Pouilly Fumé goes remarkably well with seafood, fish with white butter sauce, and goat cheese. This wine is best consumed young but can be kept for a few years. It should be served between 8 and 10° C (45 to 50° F).
