Notes - Founded in 1811, Perrier-Jouët’s reputation as one of the top houses comes from the sheer quality of its Grand
Brut. The house is justifiably proud of its long track record, as it was the very first Champagne producer to make a “Brut” wine back in 1854. The Grand Brut is made from the greatest crus from Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne and Montagne de Reims. Thirty to forty crus go into the blend, complemented by mature characteristics of reserve wines. By using reserve wines, in amounts strictly prescribed by the cellar master, Perrier-Jouët maintains the personality, taste and character of its Grand Brut, year after year. It is a pale but luminous golden yellow with lively, gracious bubbles, revealing a Spring-like, crystal-clear wine. There are fleeting floral aromas such as acacia and may blossom which mingle with warmer notes, dominated by green apples, pineapple and white peaches. Impetuous, full and fleshy, and great mouthfeel on the palate. It has persistent streams of sprightly bubbles, rich flavours of fresh butter, brioche and shortbread and a good natural balance.
