Wine information: Created in the 1880s by James Burroughs The only premium London dry gin still made in London, Beefeater is distilled at Kennington on the south bank of the river Thames. It is still made with the original (and secret) recipe, unchanged since 1820. Beefeater Gin contains nine different botanicals: juniper, angelica root, angelica seeds, coriander seeds, liquorice, almonds, orris root, seville oranges, and lemon peel. These botanicals are steeped for 24 hours before distillation. Distillation takes eight hours to complete.

Tasting Notes: An exceptionally clean, bold gin whose extravagant juniper character is balanced with strong orange notes. On the nose, juniper and citrus are dominant, whilst in the mouth the spicy aromatic character of the gin emerges. A long and complex finish.
