Wine information:
Asbach is one of Germany's most famous brands. Asbach history goes back to the year 1892, when company founder Hugo Asbach left his adopted home country France and made his dream of an own company come true in Rüdesheim on the romantic Rhein. He had previously acquired a high degree of know-how of distilling wines from renowned French distillers, and he made use of this knowledge to achieve an ambitious goal: to create a product equal to French cognacs and at the same time to cater to German tastes.
Asbach Brandy is considered the German quality brandy, a contemporary premium specialty with a long tradition and unequalled quality. Selected wines, profound experience, and a high degree of diligence in production define its character. The result of all these efforts is a pleasant agreeable taste and a harmonious bouquet. After a long process of multiple distillation, Asbach is matured at least 4 to 5 times longer than the legally prescribed 6 months in small casks of
Limousin oak. Asbach Original Brandy is now labelled as 3 years old.
Tasting Notes:
The mellow taste and harmonious bouquet make Asbach the embodiment of perfect quality and superb enjoyment. This Brandy is a deep golden colour and has aromas of honey, floral note, grapes and toasty oak on the nose. The palate is soft, mellow and smooth. There are grape, plum and nutty flavours leading to a lingering, balanced finish.
