Sigfried Pic is the Export Director for the historic and world-famous Maison Louis Jadot. Some years ago Sigfried offered to do a wine tasting for us when he was next visiting the UK. It didn’t quite happen then but we have finally managed to pin him down this time and Sigfried will be hosting a Louis Jadot Burgundy Wine Tasting & Dinner for us on 27th March.
The evening will begin with a brief, general introduction to Maison Louis Jadot and their wines. This will be followed by a pre-dinner wine tasting of five red Burgundies from the 2011 vintage. At 8 years on from vintage, this is now an ideal time to check in on these and see how the 2011 vintage has developed in general. Dinner follows and consists of 4 courses each with a matched Burgundy (1 Beaujolais and a Burgundy for the main course!).
All the wines will be served in Riedel Glassware.

Pan fried frogs legs with shallots, parsley, and hint of garlic finished
with a baby herb salad and lemon grass and rape seed oil dressing
Mini cod goujons and chips served with a homemade tartar sauce
Slowly braised beef Bourgignon with baby onions, mushroom and a thyme scented red
wine sauce served with Dauphinoise potatoes and French beans
