Briottet Creme de Banane is a banana flavour liqueur made in Dijon, in the Burgundy region of France, by Edmond Briottet. Maison Briottet is a family business, founded in 1836 and has a reputation of producing some of the best fruit liqueurs and cremes available. The current managing director, Gérard Briottet, represents the fourth generation, and maintains the tradition started by his great grandfather, Edmond Briottet. Maison Briottet maintains a very high level of quality. It is the selection of the ripest fruit from the most suitable cultivars that provides for the finest flavours; therefore contracting the right growers to produce the correct fruit is the first step on the ladder. Briottet Creme de Banane is made using the Canaries variety of banana sourced from Costa Rica which is then macerated in neutral alcohol prior to sweetening with sugar. Unlike some other banana liqueurs, this actually tastes of real banana fruit. A natural companion to rum and a bottled taste of the Carribean!
