Briottet Creme de Cacao Blanc (Chocolate Liqueur) is an essential cocktail ingredient and lends its chocolate flavour to many cocktails. It is especially useful when one doesn’t want the darker colour of dark Creme de Cacao.
Briottet Creme de Cacao Blanc is made by Maison Briottet, a family business, founded in 1836. The current managing director, Gérard Briottet, represents the fourth generation, and maintains the tradition started by his great grandfather, Edmond Briottet. Maison Briottet maintains a very high level of quality. Through the years they have become famous for the fruit, nut and floral liqueurs and their superior Creme de Cassis.
Briottet Creme de Cacao Blanc is a clear coloured liqueur made from cocao beans. The beans are harvested from cocao trees in Ghana, they are then roasted and then macerated in pure, neutral alcohol to give a chocolate flavoured infusion. Finally the infusion is sweetened with sugar to produce the final chocolate liqueur. Briottet Creme de Cacao Blanc (Chocolate Liqueur) can be served as a digestif, over ice, and in cocktails. It is also a very useful cooking ingredient and can be used in baking, frozen desserts or the Grasshopper Pie as made famous by Nigella Lawson.
