The Cave de Turckheim winery is situated in the pretty village of Turckheim, just slightly north west of Colmar. It is firmly established as one of the best co-operatives in the world combining rigour, know-how and patience with the latest technology and a steady stream of investment. Michel Lihrmann has been their senior winemaker for over 25 years and strongly believes that varietals in Alsace should express their delicate characteristics and favours the drier style of Alsace wines. Cave de Turckheim has successfully implemented viticulturernraisonnée; members have reduced the use of pesticides, soil treatments, water and energy consumption which ensures the sustainable production of high quality grapes with minimal environmental impact.
