Champagne Gosset is the oldest Champagne House founded in Ay in 1584 and remained in the Gosset family until 1993. The Renaud-Cointreau family, owners of Cognac Frapin, bought Gosset in 1993 and have worked tirelessly to ensure Champagne Gosset remains a family affair. In 2013 they will celebrate 20 years of ownership in which production has risen from 400,000 bottles per year to approximately 1 million bottles. The classic Gosset style, is a style of champagne which is dry yet creamy, full-bodied, rich and biscuity. The depth and concentration of all the wines ensures their ability to mature superbly when cellared appropriately and they are simply fantastic as accompaniments to a wide range of dishes. Champagne Gosset Grand Rosé is a blend of 12 Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages including Avize, Chouilly, Cramant Ay, Ambonnay and Bouzy with 7% red wine from Bouzy & Ambonnay. The blend of grapes is Chardonnay (58%), Pinot Noir (35%), with 7% red wine.
