Chateau Beauregard Ducasse Rose is Bordeaux Rose bottled as an Atlantique Indication Geographique Protegee (IGP). The Atlantique IGP covers a large area on the west coast of France characterised by a maritime influenced climate.
Chateau Beauregard Ducasse is produced by Vignobles M&J Perromat. The family own three wine estates, Château d’Armajan des Ormes in Sauternes, Domaine de Cabirol in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers and Chateau Beauregard Ducasse which is located in the commune of Mazeres towards the South of the Graves appellation. The estate was founded by Albert Duran in 1850. Jacques Perromat (6th generation of Perromat winegrowers) took over his in-laws’ estate in 1983 and today the estate is run by Albert Perromat, the seventh generation.
The 47 hectare (32 under vine) estate’s soils are marked by their complexity consisting of gravel, sand and iron concretions with a predominant clay-limestone soil. The estate is situated on the highest hilltop of the Graves appellation where the grapes ripen particularly well. The grapes for the rosé come from a 4 acre vineyard with an average of 25 years old
Chateau Beauregard Ducasse Rose is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes undergo a traditional vinification, direct pneumatic pressing and temperature controlled fermentation at low temperature to preserve the aromatic potential. The wine is aged in stainless steel tank for 6 months prior to bottling.
“Pretty pale colour. The nose presents a very beautiful and intense aromatic expression of red fruit and exotic fruits. In the mouth, the acidity is refreshing; a great elegance and a nice balance dominate. Very refreshing !” Albert Perromat.
Serve Chateau Beauregard Ducasse Rosé chilled at 10 to 12c, great with picnics, shellfish, poultry and summer salads.
