Chateau La Fleur Boireau is a 10 hectare estate is located in the district of Montagne St Emilion, in the “lieu-dit” “Bertineau”, the vineyard abuts the appellation Lalande de Pomerol. The 30 to 35 year old vines are planted to 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet franc on mainly clay-calcareous soils. This is a floral, soft, supple and feminine claret for drinking now or over the next 2 to 3 years. Please note this was previously labelled as Chateau La Fleur – it is now law that if two or more Chateaux have the same name the owner’s family name must be appended to the name of the wine. Hence Chateau La Fleur becomes Chateau La Fleur Boireau as it is owned by the Boireau family.
