Dingle Distillery Vodka is an Irish Vodka made in County Kerry. It is a grain based vodka which is distilled five times for extra purity.
The Dingle Distillery was established in 2012 by Oliver Hughes, Liam LaHart and Peter Mosley. The Distillery was created to produce Irish Whiskey at a time when the industry was dominated by the three big brands. They were one of the very first of the new band of independent producers. The first Dingle Whiskey Casks were filled on the 18th December 2012. Three years and a day later on the 19th December 2015, one cask, Cask No. 2 was released. As their whiskey offering has grown, it has also been joined by this vodka and a Dingle Original Gin.
As mentioned above the Dingle Distillery Vodka is made from the finest, purest, grain alcohol. The hand-beaten copper pot still, known a “Oisin” is charged with 500 litres of spirit which is distilled for a fifth and final time. This fifth distillation makes a huge difference to produce an extremely pure vodka. The spirit is cut with water from the distillery’s 240 feet deep well and is charcoal filtered.
An incredibly pure vodka with just a touch of sweetness and creamy texture that takes a lot of people by surprise. It is exceptionally good drunk neat.
