Eminente Reserva 7 Year Old Rum is a Cuban rum aged for 7 years. It is a blend of rums from around the island perfect for sipping or for cocktails and punches. It is a full-bodied and complex rum. Eminente is one of only a handful of cuban rums to be given the coveted ‘denominación de origen protegida’ or DOP Ron de Cuba.
Eminente Rum is owned by Louis Vuitton-Moët-Hennessy, the owners of Dom Pérignon, Krug, Ruinart, Château d’Yquem, Cheval Blanc, Ardbeg, Glenmorangie, Belvedere, Cloudy Bay et al. The rum is is produce under the watchful eye of the youngest Maestro Ronero (Rum Master) on the island of Cuba, César Martí. There are only 10 Maestros on the island. Cesar learnt his craft from his grandparents and maternal family who, having worked in the sugar industry, passed on to him generations of know-how. He also accomplished reaching the level of Maestro Ronero in just nine years, a feat unmatched to this day. Cesar set out to create a new style of Cuban rum for Eminente: one that draws its inspiration from 19th-century cuban rum, recalling its richness and depth of flavour.
Eminente Rum combines rums from the east and west of the island. The western rums are well-known for being intense, dry, punchy and perfect for cocktails. The eastern rums are smooth, fruity and ideal for sipping. With a harmonious balance that is at the same time robust, smooth yet complex, this Cuban rum perfectly expresses the art of blending aguardientes, or eaux-de-vie. High-quality molasses from sugar cane is distilled to 75% ABV, creating subtle Cuban eaux-de-vie with rich aromas. They are aged in ex-whisky white oak barrels for 7 years.

Appearance: A brilliant amber with a mahogany hue.
Aroma: Reserva is at once intense yet delicate on the nose. The initial aroma of freshly roasted coffee gives way to softer notes of dulche de leche, toasted almond and cocoa.
Taste: Full-bodied and incredibly deep, the palate is rich with vanilla and smoky notes, coffee and raspadura, which is the taste of unrefined cane sugar.
Eminente Reserva 7 Year Old Rum is great for sipping, either neat or over ice, or served in cocktails.
