This selection contains the Hambledon Classic Brut and Rosé, Raimes’ superb Brut and Blanc de Noirs (white wine from red grapes only, in this case Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier) and The Grange’s fresh and elegant Classic and Pink Hampshire Sparkling Wines.

Fresh sourdough, magnolia and lily scents mingle with a hint of smoke over a core of greengage, red plums and dessert apples. The Palate is vivid, almost vibrantly crunchy with precise, structured yet ripe acidity. It is linear, dense and
long with momentum and power that bodes well for the future. This wine has energy and latent tension that will unfold to reveal layers of floral and stone fruit aromas and a rich palate with great length.

A beautiful, vivid wild-strawberry pink with a hue of red onion skin on the rim. On the nose, magnolia blossom is followed stridently by perfumed wildstrawberry compote with hints of buttered white sourdough toast. The palate is rich and mouth filling with flavours of strawberry balanced by zingy tart cranberry and pithy Amalfi lemon notes. The texture is creamy with a clean, crisp, yeasty finish.

An elegant wine, the palate is very expressive with ripe citrus, stone fruit, apple and pear, soft fine mousse and delicate patisserie finis

From Raimes: “The nose is of redcurrants, sweet red apples and peach with suggestions of pastry and lemon shortbread. The palate is very fruit forward, thanks to the fruits of the ripe 2018 vintage. But it’s perfectly judged, bringing forward a creamy generosity to balance the taut red berry and crisp apple flavours. This is such an expressive wine!”

From Grange Estate: “In the glass a pale, silvery gold with fine rapid mousse. Bright autolytic notes on the nose with hints of baked apple, bread and a gentle woodsmoke. Racy, bright and lemony fresh fruit on the palate, rich and rewarding – a succulent, more-ish style going to a generous finish. Drinking well now and will improve with bottle age.”
1 bottle The Grange Estate Pink Sparkling, Hampshire England NV 75cl
Bright, pure silver-blush with a fine, constant mousse. Generous, redcurrant, ice-cream and biscuit on the nose, with a clean, almost saline, mineral note. The plentiful Meunier in the blend provides vibrant pink and red fruits on the complex palate, very fresh, with the extra months on lees adding to the creamy, brioche undertone. A delightfully, precise and balanced mid-palate leads to a biscuity, savoury and satisfying finish.
