The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No 2 is a little bit shorter but a bit wider than its brother, the prestigious Epicure No 1. It is great Robusto sized cigar if one is looking for a milder, lighter style of cigar and makes a good daytime or afternoon cigar.
Hoyo de Monterrey cigars originate from the town of San Juan Martinez in the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba. Jose Gener, who was originally from Tarragona in Spain, first used the name of his “vega” on a brand of Habanos in 1865. All of their cigars are made with long-filler and are totally handmade.
The flavour of the the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No 2 blend makes it an attractive choice for those who seek a delicate yet aromatic Habano that is lighter to the taste but with great elegance and complexity.
