Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay Couvent des Jacobins presented in 37.5cl half bottles.
Louis Jadot is one of the largest and most famous wine producers and negociants in the Burgundy wine-growing region. The origins of the company date back to 1859 when the business was fouded by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. Today the business is headed by Pierre-Henry Gagey, son of André Gagey, who was entrusted with the management of Louis Jadot in 1962 by Madame Jadot following the tragic death of her son.
Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay Couvent des Jacobin is made from 100 Chardonnay grapes sourced from the around the Côte d’Or, Chalonnais and Viré-Clessé best vineyards. Mâconnais grapes give freshness while Côte d’Or and Chalonnais give the wine structure. The various wines are blended after a traditional vinification. Aging lasts 8 to 10 months in oak barrels from our cooperage or in stainless steel vats before being bottled.
Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay Couvent des Jacobins is a perfect introduction to the delights and complexity of real white Burgundy, this is mainly Côte d’Or fruit together with some Mâconnais. Fresh with lovely weight, delicate creaminess and judicious oak making this a beautifully balanced dry white.
Try with roast pork and lots of crispy crackling oeufs en meurette, seafood and goats cheese dishes.
