Mackmyra Malstrom Swedish Single Malt Whisky is part of Mackmyra’s Moment Limited Edition of whiskies. It is a range of exclusive bottlings chosen by master blender Angela d’Orazio. These are bottled from specially selected casks quietly ageing away at the Bodås mine and on the island Fjäderholmarna. Mackmyra was founded by in 1999 by eight classmates from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm with the first commercial whisky coming on stream in 2002. Mackmyra Malstrom Swedish Single Malt Whisky is the sixteenth release in the Moment series and is a blend of whisky that has been matured between the years 2004 and 2011 in Mackmyra’s, small 30-liter casks. Each Moment Limited Edition bottling comes in a distinguished black carton with a specific colour scheme and a modern bottle design with an engraved metal plaque.
