This is why Beaujolais red wines are only made of Gamay grapes. This wine comes from a 1.3 ha site on the estate. Wine maker and estate manager, Guillaume de Castelnau, says “if there were a Grand Cru at Moulin à Vent, it would be this.” 100% Gamay vinified in closed vats with pumping over, and then aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
