Description

Paul Jaboulet Aine Hermitage La Chapelle 1978.

Paul Jaboulet Aine was founded in 1834 when Antoine Jaboulet set up his business in Tain l’Hermitage with the aim of producing great wines. He soon acquired his first vineyards on the Hermitage slopes and the Crozes Hermitage plains. The estate was acquired by the owners of Chateau La Lagune in Bordeaux, the Frey family (also substantial shareholders in Billecart-Salmon), in 2006. They have since expanded the company purchasing vineyards in the appellations of Cote Rotie, Condrieu and Crozes Hermitage and all estates are now certified organic and are almost fully biodynamic.
