Louis Jadot Pernand Vergelesses Clos de La Croix de Pierre is a white Burgundy form the Cote de Beaune wine-growing region of Burgundy. The Clos de la Croix de Pierre vineyard is located next to the famous premier cru En Caradeux and is not far from the very typical village of Pernand. The soil is calcarous and very stony on the surface. The Croix de Pierre is a large, ancient stone cross located at the entrance of the vineyard. Most of this vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir. The vineyards of Pernand-Vergelesses are located next to Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-les-Beaune, in a nice valley. They are very well oriented, facing East- South-Ouest. Their altitude varies from 260 to 380 m. Grapes are pressed and then put in French oak barrels during 15 to 18 months.
