Punch is one of the oldest cigar brands and was was founded in 1840 by Don Manuel Lopez. This historic Cuban cigar brand is named after the humorous Punch magazine that was very fashionable at the time and was destined mainly for the UK market. Punch cigars have been associated with Hoyo de Monterrey and production moved to the Hoyo de Monterrey factory in 1931. Today the cigars are made at La Corona Cigar factory, where many other brands are produced including Hoyo de Monterrey, Montecristo, Cuaba, Diplomaticos and San Cristobal de la Habana amongst others.
Punch cigars are medium to full bodied with a rich, well-rounded flavor profile. They typically have notes of earthy, nutty, and leathery character with hints of coffee, chocolate, and spices. The exact flavor profile of a Punch cigar can vary depending on the specific blend and aging of the cigar but they are known for their consistent quality and good value for the price.
The Punch Punch 48 La Casa del Habanos Cigar’s distinct medium flavour is created with a blend of filler and binder tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo zone and all of the sizes are ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade.
Smoke time, around 35 to 45 minutes.
