Tedeschi Capitel Tenda Soave Classico DOC is a dry white wine from the Veneto wine-growing region of Italy.
Tedeschi Wines has a long and varied history stretching back to 1824 when Nicalo Tedeschi purchased several vineyards in the Valpolicella region and, today, Tedeschi remains a family business. It is one of the foremost producers of Amarone, Ripasso and Recioto wines, in the Veneto region. In total, the family manages some 74 hectares of vineyards, of which 29 are family owned.
Tedeschi Capitel Tenda Soave Classico DOC is made with grapes harvested in the family’s vineyards, located in oldest area of origin – the commune of Monteforte d’Alpone – that with Soave, makes up the classic Soave area. The soils here are volcanic clay and the vines have an average age of 20 years old. The 100% Garganega grapes undergo a gentle pressing with a short skin maceration. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is rested in stainless steel. The wine is aged in bottle for 4 months prior to release. The distinctive wine-making technology employed yields an elegant and velvety wine with a delicate almond-scented nose.
Winemaker is Riccardo Tedeschi.
