The King of Soho London Dry Gin is an English gin created by Alex Robson and Howard Raymond.
The name is an homage to Howard’s father, Paul Raymond, who was known as the “King of Soho”. Paul Raymond was well-know for his risqué shows and for a while dominated the London entertainment scene, publishing adult titles and revolutionising the district of Soho with his many businesses and property development.
The King of Soho London Dry Gin is distilled in the heart of London using traditional methods. Distilled fived times and crafted with no less than 12 botanicals including grapefruit, sweet orange peel, angelica root, juniper and cassia. Smooth and sophisticated, a delicate combination of sweetness, citrus and earthiness.
Bottled at 42% ABV.
There is also a strawberry version called Variorum.
Clean and gentle nose, King of Soho opens up to reveal classic juniper driven pine notes, with a refreshing twist of grapefruit. Warming, peppery spice ends the journey with a satisfying nip and a smooth finish, in what is a classically styled gin.
Serve in a Gin and Tonic with ice and a slice of pink grapefruit.
