Trinidad Shorts Cigars are small, machine made cigarellos made using the same plants that are harvested to produce the tobacco for Cohiba’s premium Havana cigars. They are a great quick smoke when you want a taste of rich Cuban flavour when there is only a little time to spare.
Trinidad Cigars are named, not after the country, but the 16th century city of La Santisima Trinidad, which translates literally as “The Holy Trinity”. The city is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The brand was created in 1969. Much like Cohiba, Trinidad Cigars were originally only given away to visiting diplomats and dignitaries and it wasn’t until 1998 that small quantities were released for sale to the general public. Like all the Cuban minis and puritos, these are 100% Cuban tobacco and are machine rolled by Internacional Cubana de Tabacos in Cuba. The tobaccos is harvested from the highly regarded Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Rio located on the west of the island. It is generally widely regarded as the finest tobacco growing land in the world.
These little cigars are medium to full bodied. There are smooth, creamy coffee notes with a bit of peppery spice later on. Burn time is around 15 to 20 minutes. Great with a quick cup of coffee.
Packed, 10 Trinidad Shorts Cigars in a cardboard outer. Individually cellophane wrapped. No cutter required.
