Auchentoshan Three Wood is a Lowland Single Malt Whisky. Founded in 1823, Auchentoshan is Glasgow’s closest distillery producing Lowland Single Malt. Pronounced Ock-un-tosh-un-, meaning “Corner of the field” in gaelic. Auchentoshan is a Lowland Single Malt – it is one of only three remaining distilleries in the Scottish Lowlands along with Bladnoch and Glenkinchie. Unusually for a Scottish distillery, Auchentoshan practices triple distillation. This unique Auchentoshan Lowland Single Malt Whisky has been matured in three different cask types. Moving from American Bourbon to Spanish Oloroso Sherry – and finally Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks – Auchentoshan Three Wood is a rich, complex whisky with incredible toffee and sherry oak flavours.
